Active Touchpoints · Johannesburg · Southern Africa

Your business runs on email and Excel.
We make it run on purpose.

Before you buy software, know what you're automating. We map how the work actually happens, find where it leaks, and fix it with the plainest tool that does the job.

Show me how it works

Sound familiar?

The work that keeps
the business running
is nowhere written down.

Month-end takes ten days

Invoices are re-keyed from spreadsheets. Supplier bills are matched by memory. Nobody can say what's still outstanding without opening forty emails.

The process lives in one head

One person knows the sequence, the file names and the exceptions. When they're off, things wait. When they leave, things break.

You're about to buy software

And you can't yet say, in writing, what it should do. So the vendor decides for you, and you pay to find out it was wrong.

What we do

Map. Fix. Run.

Three services, in the order a business needs them. Start with the map. Most clients never need all three.

01

Map

Two weeks, fixed price. We interview the people who do the work, read the real documents, and pull one month of your own data. You get a process map with roles and checkpoints, a list of where information is lost or re-keyed, and a brief any developer or software vendor can build from. If you only do one thing with us, do this.

Two weeks · Fixed price, agreed before we start · Most single-process maps land under R35,000
02

Fix

We build the smallest thing that closes each leak. A reconciliation workbook. A register that replaces a folder of file names. A workflow that sends the reminder nobody remembers. An AI agent, where one earns its place. Or we brief your developer and stay involved until it works.

Spreadsheets · Workflows · Automation · AI
03

Run

Monthly operations support for businesses that don't have an operations person. We hold the process, the reconciliations and the reporting while you hold the business. Cancel any month.

Monthly · No lock-in

Proof

Built, not proposed.

Media brokerage · Booking to invoice 247

One month, mapped end to end

The problem: the order-to-cash process for 73 suppliers lived in email threads and folder names.
What we built: a process map with roles and checkpoints, the data model, the rules, and a brief for the software team.
What changed: a build the business could specify, not guess at.

Broadcast · Proof of delivery 2 tiers

Flighting reconciliation workbook

The problem: what was booked, what aired and what was owed sat in three different places.
What we built: a per-order reconciliation with independently verified and supplier-confirmed delivery reported separately, and added value counted on its own.
What changed: a client-ready report in hours, not days.

Multi-market pricing · Standardisation 8 markets

Rate calculators that agree with each other

The problem: every market priced in its own spreadsheet, with its own logic.
What we built: one calculator format with visible formulas, mark-up and currency conversion in the cell, not in someone's head.
What changed: quotes that any team member can produce and any client can audit.

Streaming data · Vetting 1 prompt

A reusable data-vetting framework

The problem: supplier statistics arrived monthly with no way to check them.
What we built: a repeatable AI-assisted check that reads the file, tests the figures against each other and flags what doesn't add up.
What changed: a contradiction in peak listener numbers caught before it reached a client.

If your operation depends on one person remembering, we can help.

How we work

Plain language.
Smallest fix first.

01

Listen

We start with the people who do the work, not the org chart. The process is whatever they actually do on a Tuesday.

02

Map

We draw it. Documents, hand-offs, checks, exceptions. If it can't be drawn, it can't be automated.

03

Find the leaks

We pull your own data and measure where information is lost, re-keyed or held in memory. Numbers, not opinions.

04

Fix the smallest thing

A spreadsheet before a system. A rule before a tool. AI when it earns its place, not because it's the fashion.

05

Leave it running without us

Documented, handed over, owned by someone in your business. The test of our work is what survives when we step away.

About

Active Touchpoints

A touchpoint is anywhere work changes hands: a person, a sheet, an email, an app, a system. We make them active.

  • Founded by an operator with 15 years running client service, billing and reconciliation in a multi-market media business
  • We build the workbooks, maps and tools ourselves
  • We use AI daily, and know when a spreadsheet is enough
  • Johannesburg, working across Southern Africa

We started as the people a business depended on to remember. The sequence, the file names, the exceptions, the supplier who always invoices late. We know what it costs a company to run that way, because we were the cost.

So we started drawing the process instead of carrying it. Then measuring it. Then fixing it, with whatever tool was plainest. That's the whole method. It works because we've done the work, not because we've read about it.

Active Touchpoints exists to do that for businesses that don't have an operations person and can't yet justify one. The aim is always the same: leave you running without us.
